MaryAnn is a short, Filipino "girl next door" who loves cartoons, video games, and a good laugh. While she'll take on any video game challenge, that doesn't guarantee she'll win. She loves to cook and to bartend, and she highly enjoys consuming what she creates! MaryAnn was born in Canada, but she considers herself Floridian more than anything.
She's spent most of her years in Kissimmee, Florida where she watched her small town grow into a city, catering to the hospitality industry. Although she's lived in Florida the majority of her life, she's not hesitant to call Lafayette her new home. She's grown to love the kindness and culture of the community. Lafayette has welcomed her with open arms.
During high school MaryAnn discovered that her love for animation and video games would lead to her career choice. It was actually the movie Shrek which sparked the idea of, ‘I can make a living off doing this stuff!’ Since then, her ultimate goal has been a career working with computer animation and other various associated projects.
MaryAnn graduated Cum Laude May 2007 and received a Bachelor's degree in Digital Media from University of Central Florida (UCF). She went through the rigorous Visual Language program, learning the skills needed to become an animator. She was also the Projects Chair of the UCF Student Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH. Visual Language eventually led her to meet Marisol Gladding and Marty Altman, both whom are also a part of the LITE team. Through them, LITE has given her the opportunity to pursue her dreams and has allowed her to become a CG Artist. She is assisting with the design and quality of various digital media that range from still images to animations to interactive forms. She's ecstatic to be a part of LITE, and plans to be a strong asset to the team.
