Charles is a writer and filmmaker whose documentaries have earned national acclaim. An associate professor of English and Cinema Studies at UL Lafayette, he is the director of the Cinematic Arts Workshop ­– an interdisciplinary institution dedicated to innovative research and creative expression in the field of moving image arts.
