Christoph is an assistant professor at the Center for Advanced Computer Studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he established the CACS Virtual Reality Laboratory [http://www.cacs.louisiana.edu/~cborst/vrlab], and teaches courses on Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin and a PhD from Texas A&M University.
Christoph's main research interests are 3-D interaction, computer haptics (force and touch feedback) and computer graphics. His recent work includes research on whole-hand interactions in virtual environment, force and vibrotactile feedback techniques and VR-based visualization methods for interpretation of scientific datasets. His earlier research focused on predictive displays and virtual reality technology for control of remote robots for inspection of space vehicles and hazardous sites.
