Charles Bernard, LITE’s dog-loving, Reggae-loving building maintenance superintendent, can often be seen in his fishing boat in LITE’s pond. Granted, he’s usually tending to the pond and not fishing which is much to his dismay, as he is a fishing and hunting enthusiast.
Having spent three years as the building maintenance superintendent at LEDA prior to his arrival at LITE, Charles is well-rehearsed in the art of maintaining water features. One of his greatest loves is tending to the fountain at LITE.
Charles unquestionably has the most positive attitude of any LITE staff member and also possesses the most eagerness to fix almost any problem within our complex building.
A graduate of Northside High School, Charles has three children, three grandchildren and a very patient wife of 17 years, Sharon. He spends his afternoons working as a recreational center supervisor for Lafayette Consolidated Government – a position he his enjoyed for the past 22 years.
When not hunting, fishing, or fountain-tending, Charles enjoys spending time with his best friend, Dash the Wonder Dog.
