Originally from the small town of Ville Platte, Louisiana, Amy is a typical Cajun girl - she comes from a large family and is the oldest of four children. In 2002, she graduated from Sacred Heart High School and immediately started studying visual arts at Louisiana State University at Eunice (LSUE). After attending LSUE for a year, she moved to Lafayette and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she graduated with a degree in marketing in 2006.
A free spirit with a flair for trying new and interesting things, Amy worked her way through college as a waitress, a babysitter, a secretary and a mix master at Bath Junkie. In 2005, she made her whole family and the entire town of Ville Platte proud when she became the 52nd Louisiana Cotton Festival Queen. One of the many perks of wearing the crown was that she got to travel the state representing the Cotton Festival and learning about the amazing, entertaining, great state of Louisiana.
Soon after graduation she started her first grown-up job at Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a management trainee. She feels blessed to be part of the LITE team.
Amy loves Cajun cooking, whether it is gumbo, rice and gravy or boiled crawfish. She loves all of it – and so does her fiancé, AJ (wedding bells will be ringing in October of 2008!) She enjoys shopping, fishing, watching movies and driving in her powder blue convertible VW Bug with the daisy-shaped brake light covers! She is the proud owner of two cats named Lex Luthor (the villain from Superman) and Yoshi (the dinosaur from Mario Brothers Nintendo game).
