Business Recovery Center to be established at LITE

OneAcadiana, UL Lafayette, LEDA and LITE are teaming up to support businesses in the region impacted by the recent flooding incident. Businesses that might need a place to temporarily set up their back-office functions to continue their business operations are encouraged to take advantage of this free service.

Temporary office space will be set up at LITE, located at 537 Cajundome Blvd., Lafayette, LA. This support will come with a shared office space with workspace and Internet connectivity available for businesses. Computers will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis; and LITE's conference rooms will be available for use as well. The University will also make available Abdalla Hall and the Picard Center, located in the University Research Park, if needed. We recognize the need to do all we can to help the business community, especially given that several of them were already impacted by the economic downturn.

Businesses needing assistance are encouraged to contact Ms. Heidi Melancon, director of the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at (337) 482-6312 or hmelancon@lsbdc.org for further information.
